Jim GladstoneJim Gladstone is a graduate of Concordia, River Forest, IL. He pursued further studies at Washington Univ, St. Louis (Kodály); Valparaiso Univ, IN (Organ); Western MI Univ, Kalamazoo (Orff-Schulwerk); and Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, OH (Choral). Jim served the following Lutheran parishes as Cantor/Organist: Chicago; Winter Haven, FL; Indianapolis, Zionsville & Carmel, IN; St. Joseph, Flint & Saginaw, MI.
Jim has been an AGO member since high school, and he is also a charter member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians. He has served on boards for both groups at local and regional levels. Jim is married to Diane neé Rudy, a music educator & choir director; they are parents of two adult daughters. Jim currently serves as a “professional substitute” organist in east central MI, playing for worship services, weddings, funerals, recitals, and hymn festivals. He also mentors beginning oboe players for the St. Lorenz Lutheran School band, Frankenmuth, where he also is an associate organist and both accompanies and sings for various choirs. |
