Jim Gladstone is a graduate of Concordia, River Forest, IL. He pursued further studies at Washington Univ, St. Louis (Kodály); Valparaiso Univ, IN (Organ); Western MI Univ, Kalamazoo (Orff-Schulwerk); and Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, OH (Choral). Jim served Lutheran parishes in the following cities as Cantor/Organist: Chicago; Winter Haven, FL; Indianapolis, Zionsville & Carmel, IN; St. Joseph, Flint & Saginaw, MI.
Jim has been an AGO member since high school, and he is also a charter member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians. He has served on boards for both groups at local and regional levels.
Jim is married to Diane neé Rudy, a music educator & choir director; they are parents of two adult daughters.
Jim currently is the Interim Organist & Cantor at Peace Lutheran Church, Saginaw; Diane assists him as Interim Choir Director (she also directs the St. Lorenz Treble Choir in Frankenmuth). Additionally, he plays for weddings, funerals, recitals, and hymn festivals.
