​First Baptist Church of Midland, MI - Accompanist Needed on Mondays

Description:  Play piano accompaniments for 8 to 10 songs, during weekly rehearsals in preparation of a seasonal children’s musical.
Setting:  After-school music program offered on Mondays, from 3:55-5:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Midland, MI (915 E Sugnet Rd)

Time Commitment:  4:45 – 5:30 pm onsite, in order to support musical rehearsal from 4:55-5:25 pm on Mondays, during two seasons, September 9-December 2, 2024 and January 6 – May 12, 2025; except on any days, scheduled or unscheduled, when Midland Public Schools are not in session; additional time offsite may be required for preparation and practice.

Skill Requirements:  Proficiency in sight reading and mastery in playing somewhat difficult piano music, which may include numerous key changes, repeats, verses, and refrains; ability to enhance the confidence and performance quality of novice solo and ensemble singers, in partnership with the program’s music director.  Instruments to be played include keyboard and grand piano.

Compensation:  Weekly pay of $50 per session served.
