Patrick Winningham
Patrick Winningham grew up in the Metro Detroit area and played for his first church service on the organ in 7th grade. After studying Music Education and Church Music at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, he taught for the next 15 years at two Lutheran High Schools in Indiana (Ft. Wayne and Indianapolis) while filling in as an organist as available.
Last year, Patrick and his family (wife, Katie and four children - grades 2, 4, 6, 8) moved back home to Michigan. Patrick currently teaches Social Studies (a big change!) at Valley Lutheran High School and Katie teaches 3rd grade at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, where they are also members.
Over the last year and a half, Patrick has been filling in at various churches around the region, most often at Immanuel Lutheran (Bay City), Trinity-St. James Lutheran (Munger), and Trinity Episcopal (Bay City). Patrick enjoys spending time with his family by traveling, hiking, camping, and skiing. This past summer he accomplished the goal of getting to all 50 states - and looks forward to upping his country count - which currently stands at 33.
